OK this post is a way off the topic of the blog but as I’ve just come across this info. I think you should have access to it.
Do you find that your golf game starts up that twinge in your back or joints? I know it does with me..especially in that lower back area just above my belt line. I’m fairly sure that it has a lot to do with my address position and the fact that I’m carrying way too much body mass (yes I know it is “fat” but body mass just sounds better!) but that doesn’t stop the fact that after a round I feel like the way that the Hunchback of Notre Dame looks.
Well, I came across this website that offered a natural product that seems to be more effective than those pain killers that you can buy over the counter at your local pharmacy.
Now, this isn’t a personal recommendation as I have not tried it out yet but I thought you may like to, at least, know that it is out there.
Here’s the link:
Serratiopeptidase
If it works for you then please do leave a comment about it so others can benefit.
Thanks people

Just about every sports coach out there shouts this out about ten times a session; regardless of the sport being played:
“Keep your $*%!? eye on the ball !”
Well, it also applies to the game of golf . If you don’t watch the ball, then the chance of hitting it goes way down! The ball is the all-important part of golf. Keep your eyes focused on one part of the ball and let everything else fade into the background.
This is where your golf hat can become your bestest friend! That bill at the front will cut out a lot a lot of the background to your vision; thus allowing you to concentrate on that one part of the ball that you are going to hit.
Set yourself up to look down on the ball, rather than watching it at the end of the golf club. If you can look down on the ball, you will get more successful results and you will reduce the natural tendency to look up before the end of your swing. Unfortunately, it is completely natural to look away when you begin to pull the club back, try to ignore that feeling and keep your eyes focused on that part of the ball you have picked out. Again your headgear will come to the rescue here. With its curved bill; the golf hat can quickly cut out the club head movement thus allowing you to refocus on the ball in front of you.
It is very important to learn to watch the ball no matter what kind of shot you need to make. It does not matter if the ball is in the long grass, the sand trap, on a slope, or anywhere else, the main thing is to see the ball completely so that you can hit it solidly and successfully.
Remember, most golf mistakes are due to a loss of concentration. If you keep your eyes focused on the ball, you will be able to hit it well. That is one of the reasons behind why so many of the professional golf players constantly primp and manhandle their golfing hats to get that added advantage out on the course.

Now why was it that “golf” and “fashion” were two words that you rarely saw together?
Simply because golf was mainly a man’s game, played at men’s clubs and so had a certain type of clothing; a “uniform”, if you will. Shoes, knee-high socks, plus-fours or knickerbockers, jacket, tie and hats; such as the picture below of Maston Bailey (a pro golfer from 1910) shows
By the early 20th century, golf had so captivated the public’s interest that the Sears & Roebuck catalog had pages of golf hats that looked like over sized newsboys.
For Ben Hogan it was this or an ivy cap. Sam Snead was a fedora man and Greg Norman put the Aussie on the world map. How many seniors do you see on the golf course wearing the hat that made their favorite golfer look good? The connection between hats and heroes seems to run so deep in golf that you can never seem to outgrow it.
Once women’s influences started to get noticed on the golf courses around the world; the tightened laces of the golfer’s uniform began to relax. As the two examples below show, the fashion in headwear has changed dramatically over the past century or so; from the terribly uncomfortable looking Isette Pearson in 1890 to the super-relaxed Michelle Wie in 2004
,
Looking at the picture of Michelle Wie above; you can also see the visor being well-advertised. from the shaped, narrow bill of the driver’s to the more generous bill of the blue-shirted lady in the middle.
Now visors are great for keeping the sun out of your eyes and the rain off your face but they offer little in the way of protection against the effects of the sun on your scalp and neck. So, if you do wear a visor do ensure that you also apply healthy doses of sunscreen to unsheltered skin.

Golf hats and visors; do they actually work or are they only some sort of fashion statement?
Just imagine; you’ve walked off the green at the ninth with the sun at your back having sunk that ten footer. You nailed it right into the back of the cup having been able to see all the borrows and runs on the green’s surface. You turn for home and approach the tenth tee.
Whoa!
That glaring ball of fire is right in your eyes; you screw them up like Clint Eastwood and peer down the 400 yard plus fairway. You can almost hear Ennio Morricone’s score as you shut one eye then the other, trying to figure out just how far away that big tree is. You tee up and take one last look down to the green.
Dang! That sun is bright! It leaves an impression on the back of your eyes..similar in size to the ball you are trying hit. You blink, squeeze a tear, rub your eyeballs..anything to eliminate that afterburn image. You address the flickering, unstable image, draw back the clubhead, twist the torso, cock the wrists and down it comes.
Dang..mis-hit!
Has that happened to you?
Just think, if you had been wearing whatever your choice of golf hats and visors would be, then that life-giving sphere of hot gas would not have had such a drastic effect on your final nine holes. With that pliable front bill that you can move around to provide shaded relief; your everyday golfing headgear can help in cutting out that glare, leaving you with clear, uninterrupted vision all the way to the 19th.
From fedoras and tam o’shanters to visors and baseball styles; using the right golf hat will keep the sun from your eyes, rain from your face and UV rays from your skin.
